A leading Fianna Fáil party member in Roscommon says members of the party's grassroots are disgusted with how Senator Eugene Murphy was treated. It follows confirmation this morning that the Scramogue man will now run as an Independent in the forthcoming General Election. Senator Murphy was previously defeated at the party's selection convention by Dr Martin Daly and failed in a bid to be added to the ticket in Roscommon-Galway.
