Local Gardaí are warning the public that they are actively on the look out for disqualified drivers and learner permit holders driving unaccompanied.
The call comes following several instances over the last week where disqualified and learner drivers were stopped in the region.
The most recent event saw Roscommon Roads Policing Unit stop a car travelling at 80 kilometres an hour in a 50 zone during speed checks in Castlerea.
Using the Mobility App, it was discovered that the motorist was an unaccompanied Learner driver with no L-plates or insurance.
Gardaí seized the car and court proceedings are to follow.
