Gardaí in the Shannonside Region are appealing for witnesses after a series of power tool robberies from work vehicles.
Roscommon Gardaí are investigating two incidents on the 11th of September involving a blue Saab car with fake registration plates.
Between 4 and 5 pm on Monday the 11th of September, a silver Landcruiser jeep was broken into on Main Street in Athleague.
A passenger window and lock were smashed in the course of the burglary and over €2,400 worth of power tools were taken.
Later that day, over €1,200 worth of tools were taken from a locked Renault van on the premises of Sean Doyle and Son, on the Circular Road in Roscommon Town.
A week later at the same location, the occupant of a blue Mazda was disturbed while trying to gain entry to a number of vans using an angle grinder.
They fled empty handed once disturbed.
