A local GP is urging people not to lose faith in the vaccination process after the Government suspended the use of the Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccine in Ireland yesterday.
Ballygar GP Dr. Martin Daly has praised the cautious approach of the HSE and the National Immunisation Advisory Committee in suspending the use of the vaccine as the European Medicines Agency investigates the claims.
However, Dr Daly who is a former President of the Irish Medical organisation, says there have been just a handful of reported cases of blood clotting out of 17 million people vaccinated worldwide with the AstraZeneca dose.
