Westmeath Green Party Councillor Louise Heavin says she was glad to see Deputies Neasa Hourigan and Patrick Costello take the stance they did on the National Maternity Hospital last night.
The two TD's voted with Sinn Fein in a vote which called for the new hospital to be built on fully public land.
Government TD's had been told to abstain on last night's motion and the two Deputies were subsequently suspended from the Green Party for their failure to do that.
It's left the government with a very small margin of support.
Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon, Westmeath councillor Louise Heavin says she was glad to see them take a stand on the issue.
