A local Green Party representative says an All-Island Railway project is a priority for the party. The All Island Strategic Railway Review report was released this week and sets out 32 strategic recommendations to enhance and expand the rail system in Ireland and Northern Ireland up to 2050. Recommendations include linking the Sligo-Dublin Connolly service to the Galway-Dublin Heuston route.
The report states that this would greatly increase inter-regional accessibility across the northern half of the island.
