The Government have announced further funding for local voluntary and community organisations to help with energy costs.
The Community and Voluntary Energy Support Scheme sees the sector receiving a one-off contribution towards the increased energy costs they faced in 2022.The latest tranche has seen €213,264 split among 128 organisations.
In the Shannonside region, The County Roscommon Women's Network and the Aughrim Kilmore Development Association were successful applicants. While in Longford, Leebeen Park in Aughnacliffe received funding. In North Leitrim, the Bee Park Rescue Centre and the Dromahair Arts and Recreation group were also successful in their application.
