A local hospital says it's experiencing increasing numbers of people requiring admission. The Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore say they have opened additional beds to cope with this extra demand on capacity and resources.
Management at the Hospital are asking patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service such as their local Pharmacist or GP. They also say patients who are presenting at the Emergency Department with non-urgent conditions are experiencing very long waiting times to be seen today.
