Hospitals across the Shannonside Northern Sound region have seen a significant increase in patients with confirmed cases of Covid-19.
211 people are receiving treatment for or with the disease as of yesterday evening in local hospitals.
That's an increase of 48 on figures recorded this time last month.
54 people are currently in covid wards in Sligo University Hospital following outbreaks at the facility over the last number of weeks.
That's compared to just 7 cases in the hospital on February 9th.
Our Lady's Hospital in Drogheda in dealing with 48 positive cases today, while UHG has 34.
Cavan General Hospital and the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar have 22 and 21 people with the virus on site respectively.
That's followed closely by Portiunula hospital in Ballinasloe and Tullamore Hospital where 19 and 13 patients are in Covid wards.
Nationally, 846 cases have been recorded in hospital's as of last night, up 281 from last month's figure.
