Local hospitals under pressure today according to the INMO

Local hospitals are under pressure today with a number of patients waiting for a hospital bed. Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe has 13 people waiting for a bed this morning with four under the age of 16.

Meanwhile, Sligo University Hospital is also busy today with 38 patients waiting on trolleys today. The Midland Regional Hospitals in Tullamore and Mullingar are reporting no patients waiting for a bed. University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for a bed, with 80, followed by Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Galway.
