Medical services in the Shannonside region are urging the public to be cautious this bank holiday weekend.
Saolta has released a statement to remind the public to stay safe this weekend and to reach out to professionals if in need of medical assistance.
The HSE is advising the public to attend out of hours GP services or to consult pharmacists over bank holiday as hospitals across the country are expected to be busy.
The health service is also asking the public to remain vigilant about the spread of Covid-19, which is still circulating in communities across the region.
Healthcare services such as the Roscommon Injury Unit at Roscommon University Hospital, or Monaghan Minor Injuries Unit in Monaghan Hospital are also available from 8am to 8pm every day in case of an emergency.
