The Garda roster issue is not a new issue, according to a local Independent TD.
It comes as the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris is to introduce a new roster and increased working hours for Gardaí.
The Garda Representative Association has threatened effective strike action in early November if the Commissioner does not revoke his decision.
