A Shannonside TD has indicated they will support Sinn Fein's motion of no confidence.
Sligo-Leitrim TD Marian Harkin has revealed that she will support the opposition motion when it comes before the Dail later this week.
The former MEP has indicated that a lack of regional development is a key factor in her decision.
The Government formally lost its majority last week when Fine Gael TD Joe McHugh voted against his colleagues over the Mica redress package.
It's reported McHugh and Independent TD Marc MacSharry will be voting against the Sinn Fein motion of no confidence.
The vote comes as the Oireachtas prepares to take its Summer break on Thursday.
Minister Peter Burke says a vote of no confidence is a waste of time because the Government is going to win anyway.
