A local MEP is defending the Government's response to the accommodation of International Protection Applicants.
It comes as more than 200 people who arrived in Ireland recently seeking asylum are are currently without State accommodation.
The Government ceased offering beds to all male International Protection Applicants on the 4th of December, citing a severe shortage of bed space.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Midlands-Northwest MEP Maria Walsh says the Government is acting with the best humanitarian intentions.
