A local MEP is expressing concern jobs will be lost in the midlands if Bord na Móna Recycling is sold. The group is set to sell off its waste management business in Tullamore in a deal which is expected to be worth more than 55 million euro.
Siptu representatives are meeting Fianna Fail TDs from the midlands today to voice their opposition to the deal. Roscommon-based MEP Ciaran Mullooly also has worries about the sale:
