A local MEP is to convert his Roscommon consistency office into housing for Ukrainian refugees.
Luke 'Ming' Flanagan says his office in Castlerea will be temporarily changed to a 3 bed apartment for a family forced to leave the country.
The Midlands North West MEP says changes in working practices following the pandemic mean, he and his team can work effectively from home.
It's thought over one million people have fled the fighting in the last week, the majority crossing the border to Poland.
According to the Taoiseach, Ireland may take up to 20,000 Ukrainian refugees in the coming months.
