A Roscommon community organisation is calling on Government to get behind its needs analysis report for Ballaghaderreen.
Over the last two months RHS Home Care carried out a survey asking the people of the west Roscommon town what they needed in the area.
In recent years Ballaghaderreen has welcomed many nationalities however the local co-operative feel more services are needed.
A special two-day event is taking place at Duffy's Supervalu to put a spotlight on the town, giving the public an opportunity to share their thoughts.
The data will then be refined and submitted to Roscommon County Council and Government.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show Manager of RHS Home Care Patrick Towey explained the aim of the project.
'We are looking at towns that we can target and maybe try and see if we can help from a cooperative and not from a non-profit point of view.
This report is something that the town needs I feel because there is none and this is what the people of the town said that they want people.
Government and local councillors and local TDs will come with us on this.
Whatever it is that the government can provide in the services and that RHS homecare are ready and rooted to invest in the town so long as we can get support as well.'
