Work places are being urged to plan in advance, schools and creches will close, and emergency services are advising motorists to stay off the road.

Roscommon Older Persons Council is calling for people to take care of the elderly ahead of Storm Eoywn's tomorrow.

The whole country will be under a status red wind warning from the early hours of tomorrow morning until midday.

Schools and creches will be closed for the duration of the alert.
