In the Shannonside region Councillors, Senators, MEPs and TDs have been nailing their colours to the mast for the leadership contest.
Starting with TDs, both Fine Gael Representatives for the Shannonside Region have rowed in behind Higher Education Minister Simon Harris.
Minister Peter Burke in Longford/Westmeath and Deputy Frank Feighan from the Sligo/Leitrim Constituency are both baking Harris.
When it comes to MEPs, Maria Walsh has thrown her support behind Simon Harris, along with Colm Markey.
Of two locally based Senators, only one has declared their choice with Micheal Carrigy also supporting Simon Harris and Aisling Dolan unconfirmed.
The local politics side of the equation is different with several Councillors indicating they would support Heather Humprhries for the role should she declare.
In Longford, Councillors Peggy Nolan and Paraic Brady say they will support the Rural Regeneration Minister if she goes forward, While Cathloirleach Colm Murray and Councillor Gerry Hagan have declared for Simon Harris.
Leitrim's Enda McGloin is also supporting Minister Humphries while Ita Reynolds Flynn backed Simon Harris.
Local Fine Gael Councillors Colin Dalton, Garry Murtagh and John Naughton have not yet responded to queries from Shannonside FM news.
