A priest in Castlerea says it is important refugees are made feel welcome when they come to the town next month. A total of 52 international protection applicants are due to move into the Riverwalk apartments on June 7th. Around 90 people protested against the plans yesterday, raising concerns around safety and resources. Fr Chris Garrett, the curate in St Patrick's Church, Castlerea, says immigrants are positive for the country.
