Roscommon Councillors have voted to lock local property tax rates in the county for the next two years.
The decision to keep the payment at the same rate was made at a September meeting of Roscommon County Council on Monday afternoon.
Funds gained from the local property tax allow the local authority to match fund significant infrastructure grants.
The majority of houses will pay an annual rate of €90.
Councillor John Keogh says maintaining the current rate for next two years gives certainty and consistency to homeowners.
