A local Senator believes a new bus shelter in Williamstown is currently not a priority for the National Transport Agency or Galway County Council. Roscommon-Galway based Senator Eugene Murphy says the bus shelter project will have to jump through a few hoops before it becomes a reality.
He has also confirmed his intention to write to Junior Transport Minister James Lawless about the situation. Senator Murphy says it's not good enough to have people standing at a bus stop without shelter:
