It's hoped a major Roscommon roads project will not suffer major delays following the collapse of the company contracted to construct it.
The N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue road project was awarded to civil engineering company Roadbridge last year.
The firm has now gone into receivership, leaving the Roscommon project along with others across the country in limbo.
Local Senator Eugene Murphy says the project remains secure as the funding for it is ringfenced.
According to Senator Murphy, it's hoped the delay will be measured in months and not years.
