A local Senator has made a plea for support to be provided to a Roscommon man who cares for his son.
Kevin Sullivan cares for his 18 year old son Sean who lives with ASD and is non verbal.
Sean had been in school in Castlerea over the last number of years, with Kevin praising the school for their work.
However, now that he is 18 and out of education, Sean's father says the availability of support services is 'brutal'.
Kevin spoke to the Joe Finnegan Show yesterday and said whilst he has received funding for residential care for his son, nothing is available in the region.
