A local senator says Garda stations across the Shannonside region need their fair share of new Gardaí. Two additional Gardaí will be stationed in Longford Garda Station this week.
Fine Gael senator Micheal Carrigy says the deployment of these additional Gardaí aims to strengthen law enforcement in Longford. Senator Carrigy added that it's important to keep increasing the numbers going to the Garda college in Templemore:
