A local Senator is welcoming confirmation from the Education Minister for the approval of building works at a school in Roscommon.
Eugene Murphy received the news from Minister Norma Foley that funding for the project at Our Lady of Mount Carmel National School in Rooskey had been granted.
The extension will include the construction of two extra classrooms; one for special education teaching and one mainstream classroom.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel National School currently has 144 students enrolled at the education facility.
