The Minister for Agriculture is set to introduce a fodder scheme for local farmers in the next 24 hours. Minister Charlie McConalogue will bring the scheme to Cabinet tomorrow morning, aimed at relieving pressure on producers affected by flooding.
Senator Eugene Murphy believes the scheme will be welcomed by farmers in the Shannon Callows area, where fodder supplies have been badly affected.
