The majority of students in the Shannonside region are pessimistic about sitting Leaving Cert 2021 according to a new survey.
New data gathered over the last two weeks shows students are not hopeful that they will be sitting exams in person.
An average of 50 percent of students surveyed across the 5 counties are in favour of a mixture of calculated grades and in-person exams.

The survey was coordinated by the constituency office of Fianna Fáil TD for Longford-Westmeath, Minister Robert Troy.
