A Sinn Fein party reshuffle is being announced this lunchtime which will see all 3 Shannonside TD's changing their portfolios.
Sligo/Leitrim Deputy Martin Kenny moves from Justice to Transport and Communications while Roscommon Galway Deputy Claire Kerrane transfers her area of responsibility from Social Protection to Agriculture.
Longford Westmeath Deputy Sorca Clarke is to take on the role of spokesperson on Education for the party.
She had previously been spokesperson on Defence, but says she's looking forward to working in the new brief.
"I'm delighted, I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's an exciting time and I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into Education to make that real change for families and for children, and also for the schools. It's a very stressful time, particularly at this time of the year between books and uniforms and transport, but I think what this really signifies is that Sinn Féin are ready to fight the next election that we have the team, we have the ideas, and we have the ambition to lead the next government".
