Local soccer club lodge plans to upgrade home ground

A local soccer club in the Shannonside Northern Sound region has applied for planning permission to upgrade its grounds.

Willow Park FC in Athlone are looking to construct a new carpark on their premises.

They are also looking to install 5, six metre high poles with LED lighting.

Westmeath County Planners will decide on the application in November.
