A local Social Prescribing Link worker has described the importance of people who suffer from issues such as isolation and loneliness, to get in touch with Social Prescribing services.
International Social Prescribing Day took place last Thursday which highlighted the positive impact the service can have on the health and wellbeing of people across the country.
The aim of social prescribing is to connect adults to community groups, organisations and statutory services for practical and emotional support via the support of a Social Prescribing Link worker.
