Local sporting organisations have been reacting to today's funding announcement under the Community Sport Facilities Fund. Over 10 million euro has been allocated to support local and community grassroots sports clubs across the Shannonside Region.
County Roscommon has been allocated five million euro, County Leitrim has received over 3 million whilst sporting organisations in Longford have been given 2 million. The Shannonside Regional Recreational Campus project in Carrick on Shannon has received over 400,000 and chairperson Brendan Lowe gave an update on the development:
