Three local sports stars have been awarded Education Champion Scholarships by the Gaelic Players Association and the Irish American Partnership.
This year’s 32 recipients are student teachers and those pursuing postgraduate studies to further their careers in education.
Aisling Hanly from Roscommon and Caoimhe McCormack from Longford who both attend DCU have been awarded a scholarship from the Ladies Football category.
Meanwhile, Leitrim hurler Martin Feeney has also been awarded a scholarship this year.
The scholarships were awarded at a function at the Alex Hotel in Dublin earlier in the week.
