Students across the Shannonside region are expressing frustration at the delay in receiving their Junior Cert results.
Last year's junior cert students have yet to receive a date for the publication of results.
However it's understood a date for the results is expected to be announced this week by the State Examinations Commission. Athlone student, Holly Kelly, has expressed how difficult it is choosing subjects without knowing the results.
"It's quite stressful because we have to obviously pick our subjects and our subject levels but because we don't have our result, we kind of have no idea as to what we're doing".
While Martha Nugent, a TY student from Elphin, Co.Roscommon and member of Comhairle na nÓg, says not knowing a date is incredibly stressful.
"It's a big shame that they haven't released them yet and it's an even bigger shame that we haven't even got a date. It's kind of hard knowing that the results could arrive any day. The exams were ages ago, it feels like a year ago since I actually sat the exams"
