Two local students recently won big at this year's Texaco Children's Art Competition.
The Art Competition is celebrating it's 70th edition with the very first Competition held in 1955.
17-year old Roscommon student, Victoria Geraghty, from Scoil Mhuire in Stokestown won a Special Merit Award for her artwork entitled 'My Granny '. Meanwhile, 8-year old Leitrim student , Flynn McMorrow, from St. Aidan's National School in Rossinver, also won a Special Merit Award for his artwork entitled 'Mowing The Meadow'. Both students were commended by the Final Adjudicator who said they demonstrated high levels of skill and imagination.
