Local support and loyalty is keeping the outlook for rural towns bright.
That's the message from the manager of the newly rebranded Chadwick's in Roscommon town, Marion Cunningham.
The local hardware shop, which was established as Garvey's Builders Merchants in Galway in 1861, rebranded to Chadwicks in recent weeks.
The branch manager, who has been dealing with construction customers for over 20 years there, says the outlook is bright because throughout this challenging year, people have returned to spending their money locally again.
