A local TD is branding the closure of Roscommon Vaccination Centre as premature.
It emerged last week that the centre based at the Golf Links Road would be closing its doors on Sunday March 27th.
However, Deputy Denis Naughten is calling for the closure to be delayed until a decision on the need for an additional Covid booster vaccine is made.
It's understood the lease on the current building expires soon which Deputy Naughten says will result in people having to travel to vaccination centres in Moate or Carrick-on-Shannon.
The Independent TD believes the facility could be used for additional HSE services on an ongoing basis.
