A Roscommon TD is expressing disappointment that the Heritage Minister Malcolm Noonan has no plans to visit the community at Lough Funshinagh.
The invitation to visit has been extended by his colleague OPW Minister Patrick O' Donovan in the context of the ongoing work to secure planning for the overflow pipe.
Deputy Naughten says it's disappointing for families in Roscommon, but also for others in danger from flooding in other areas of the country.
Denis Naughten says the legal barriers which have been highlighted through two court injunctions have serious implications for many communities.
He says putting things right for Funshinagh and other communities will take coordination across the government, and he's disappointed not to see Minister Noonan being more co-operative.
