A deal has been reached to form the next government.
The leaders of Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil and the Greens have signed off on a programme for government in the last hour.
The almost 140-page document covers all aspects of how the next government will function.
There has been some fears that the programme will include an enhanced focus on public transport rather than the development or improvements of national routes like the N2 or the long-awaited N4 upgrade.
