A local TD says a meeting has taken place with the Minister for Agriculture regarding supports for farmers hit by Storm Eowyn. Fine Gael TD Micheál Carrigy was speaking after €42,110 in Tillage and Horticulture payments were announced for 28 Longford farmers. A total of €32.4 million has been issued to farmers nationwide under the sector's support scheme as part of Budget 2025.
