Local TD slams Govt over housing crisis and infrastructure failures

The Government has ignored concerns about tackling the housing crisis, according to a local TD.

Independent Ireland TD for Roscommon-Galway, Michael Fitzmaurice, warns that failing water and sewage infrastructure is halting housing developments and is calling on the Government to take urgent action.

He says other major parties set unrealistic housing targets which are "unachievable" given the underinvestment in infrastructure.

Deputy Fitzmaurice says the Government has "misled" the public on housing.
