A Sligo-Leitrim TD has called for a new early morning train service along the Sligo-Dublin route.
Speaking at the Dáil today, Deputy Marian Harkin stressed the need for a new train to arrive from Longford or Carrick-on-Shannon at 8:30am for students and workers.
The deputy noted that timetable changes have been made recently to rail lines in Cork, Waterford, Limerick, and Dublin, but that no upgrades were announced for Sligo-Dublin.
