Sligo /Leitrim Deputy and Minister of State Frank Feighan says he knew from the beginning of his term that he was only going to serve in the position until the change of Taoiseach.
In a statement issued this morning thanking Taoiseach Leo Varadkar for the appointment as Junior Minister at the Department of Heath he said he accepted the role in 2020 knowing full well it would only last two and a half years.
Deputy Feighan says it was a privilege and honour to serve the people of Ireland during one of the most challenging public health emergencies in our history.
The Fine Gael TD says he now looks forward to refocusing his full attention on his constituency as the only government Deputy in the region, and pressing the government for more investment , good job opportunities, and more housing for young people.
