A local government TD is calling for an intellectual disabilities provider in Longford to reconsider their plan to take industrial action.
Over 130 staff in St Christopher's are planning the work-to-rule over a pay row.
An agreement was reached last October for them to get an 8 per cent pay rise in three phases - but that hasn't been paid by the HSE.
But local Fianna Fáil TD Joe Flaherty is confident the money will be paid soon.
Deputy Flaherty says he hopes the industrial action doesn't go ahead.
