€104,000 in initial funding to help Longford towns and villages adapt in a COVID era has been anounced by Minister Heather Humphreys.
This funding is to help towns and villages adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic with funding for a series of local projects.
Ballymahon is to get the county's first dedicated artisan market area with €25,000 in funding for a covered outdoor area to facilitate markets and outdoor events.
The new feature will be located in the civic space surrounding the local library.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound Longford TD Joe Flaherty welcomed the announcement this morning.
