Local town teams to benefit from new Government funding

Local authorities across the region are to be given funding to set up new 'Town Teams' or to build up existing ones.

Castlerea in Roscommon and Ballymahon in Longford are included in the allocations with town teams set to get €30,000 each.

It aims to boost employment and tourism and encourage people to live and work there.

Gareth Scahill from the Castlerea Town Team says alot of good work can be done with the funds:
