Over 50 thousand euro has been allocated to pubs, night clubs, and other venues in the Shannonside region under the Night Time Economy Support Scheme so far this year
The Night Time Economy Support Scheme was set up earlier this year off the back of a recommendation from the Night-Time Economy Taskforce.
The Taskforce recommended that a scheme be set up to provide artists with paying gigs and customers with entertainment during off-peak times
They also recommended that funding be made available for cafés and other unlicensed venues to support their night-time activities.
A total of just over 3.6 million euro was allocated to 433 organisations nationwide.
Pubs, nightclubs, and other cultural venues in Roscommon have received a total of 26,000 euro in funding so far.
Longford has received a total of 14,500 euro while Leitrim has received the least amount of funding nationally, at 11,590.
Almost 1 million euro has been given to premises in Dublin so far.
