The organisers of an event to support the Black Lives Matter movement are assuring the public that strict social distancing will be in operation.
The demonstration which will take place in the Market Square tomorrow, will be standing only and 2 meters apart with stewards there to ensure everyone wears face masks.
People can expect to hear from people in minority communities outlining their experiences of racism in Longford and it's hoped it will educate the wider population about the effect that such actions have on people's lives.
Eric Ehigie who is one of the organisers says everything is in place to ensure people including front line workers will be protected but the event hopes to bring home the message that racism needs to be tackled:
