The Longford branch of Aontu says they have been inundated with people contacting about the hardship grant that was rolled put in April.
The grant was aimed at people over the age of 65 who were cocooning.
The Longford Aontu branch says they contacted Age Action and obtained forms for people who were not online and sent them put for people who wanted to apply.
Louise McGann says all of the people who were given forms by Aontu have been back in touch to say they were refused the grant.
She says she's been told that nationally there were 21,000 applications for the grant, but only 735 people were successful:
