A Longford autism advocate says she'd like to see more supports put in place for young autistic people.
Kate Ann Rowan says while good progress seems to be made in supporting children, there isn't so much attention for teenagers or young adults who face challenges.
The Longford woman who was diagnosed as autistic when she was 17 says people are becoming more aware of autism generally and the challenge she and others ca face.
She's presently involved in establishing a new online facility called 'actually autistic' which will feature autistic people recounting their experiences, and says this is one of the best ways for people to learn more.
